Floor Slab Not Showing In Revit 3d View
To see the foundation slab in a plan view create a new level below level 1 for example foundation level.
Floor slab not showing in revit 3d view. The contours are not to complex and i have them as 3d polylines with a z value. In plan view click view menu view properties. Therefore if you add a foundation slab in level 1 it is added below level 1 and will not be visible in the level 1 plan view. Are there any ways of doing this or am i better of trying to generate the slab in autocad and the bring it in to revit as component.
This is a mystery as i have a slab which is visible same properties as the one i have just inserted yet it isn t visible. Uncheck the box then create a new floor plan for your ground floor. This is a problem i have. You can prove this to yourself by going into the view tab create panel plan views floor plan.
Revit controls the appearance of structural concrete components that are in a hidden state in a view. I know i can import the contours and get a surface but i would like to able to create a slab ie a surface with a thickness. Visual style must be set to either hidden or to shaded select show edges. As you can see in the images i attached in the 3d view all seem properly but in the plan view i can t see the lines.
Earlier in a team meeting this week i had a colleague query the best way to model hollowcore planks in revit so that it appears correctly in the 3d views unlike the composite deck options from the material breakdown. Floor slab is checked in the visibility parameters. You levels should show there. Try checking unchecking the box to see if your levels show up.
Discipline must be set to structural to represent invisible lines as hidden. Define the display settings for projection lines using the object styles or the override graphics in view functions in revit. To prevent the floor or slab from being visible in plan view you need to adjust the bottom clip so that it is more than 4 feet above the floor or slab and set the view depth so that it does not include any part of the floor or slab. Foundation slabs are added below the level in which they are drawn.
Hi i need to create a slab that has contours. That dialog will have a do not duplicate existing views checkbox. Follow these steps in order to get the desired display. As always i had an answer similar to well this is the way i have done it previously using.
